everytime I need a listening

everytime I need a listening ear, words of wisdom, advice on minor and major decisions, I always feel comfortable to ask it from my bestfriend. I don't know how long we've been bestfriends but we've known each other almost 8 years ago and both of us has been a part of each other's choices and decisions in life. The most important thing is to have trust, honesty and acceptance of the consequences.

I too had an epiphany like that years ago. I was stellar at keeping commitments to everyone but myself & no wonder I felt so awful about myself - self-loathing, confidence in the pits... But at least it was an ah-ha for me to turn it all around.

I read your title and thought, "I'm AWESOME at keeping commitments."

Then I read your three questions and thought, "I SUCK at keeping commitments."

Even more so when it's a commitment made to myself (exercising, eating well, time alone as examples). So, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah. I'm going to have to make a commitment to myself to start doing a better job at keeping commitments.

Which kind of seems self-defeating in itself, doesn't it? ;)

Wow - getting invited to re-connect with someone who passed on, now that is one very spooky email. Similar but not as bad as receiving a letter I wrote to a friend that was returned to sender (me) about 2 weeks after his funeral.....that was a sad moment indeed.

Facebook Struggling To Deal With This

I had never even thought about this issue before reading your post, it was a real eye-opener. Coincidentally I have just been seeing some complaints regarding Facebook's "reconnect" feature they have been highlighting lately. People are complaining because Facebook is suggesting they 'reconnect' with people that have passed away. So clearly there needs to be a better mechanism in place to deal with this issue. Thanks for raising this issue and for the resources you provide.

Totally agree on the Eerie thing, to a degree, nice memorial, but on the other hand....

And what happens if/when these sites sink in with longevity and there are more accounts/people affected with passing away. Just an interesting thought
