Also- I assume we'd play with a men's ball, not a women's ball. I mean, there are some 'practical' reasons you might not play co-ed. But if it's pickup games? Heck yes... time to lace up ladies.

Making Memories

Lots of parents today seem focused on "doing things" so their kids will have experiences -- and, admittedly, we do that in my house, too. Travel to the Grand Canyon, rafting in Colorado, touring Washington DC. But, it will be interesting to "interview" our kids when they are grown -- somehow I think their memories will be the ones we didn't plan -- hanging out with their cousins in the back on a summer night, the family walking the dogs together in the morning and having giggle-fests during dinner over something someone said. I think generally we just all want to make memories for them -- and have them say, "I had a happy childhood!"
