is apparently working on a book that includes his status updates, random tweets, etc... I have no idea how he's pulling this together or what it's going to develop into, but I'm fascinated by it.

I often tweet and status update obscure stuff that only a few people really understand. It's intentional, I don't want to give the details behind that because there are consequences to that. Someday... five years from now, seven years from now - when all of the kids are really grown, then I'd consider spilling the beans (and giving the real dirt behind what I meant...)

Very interesting. I often feel like I have a hard time actually blogging these days...but I update Chatter and Twitter almost daily. Every status has a story. Hmm NaBloPoMo is next month...this might be just the kind of idea I need to kick start personal blogging again. Hmmm...

Family Cookbook - Denise

Healthy lunches that kids will eat is such a challenge. And the frightening levels of obesity and diabetes that we're encountering in all ages of the population in America, especially children, seems directly related to the lack of nutrition in the diet and the over-abuse of sugar (in all its hidden forms).

What a great idea for a cookbook that addresses this subject. And it would be so helpful to parents (and children) everywhere.

A perfect opportunity for a group/community effort by mothers everywhere to collaborate on these recipes. A natural for FamilyRecipeCentral.com where you can create groups to bring people together and create/edit recipes and cookbooks online. Once all of the recipes are put together, it's easy to produce a cookbook with a push of a button. And the groups have forums, image galleries, video galleries, and a blog as well as the recipe and cookbook manager to facilliate the project.

Let me know if anyone is interested, I'd love to start the group, and would be happy to participate in pulling the healthy kids recipes together. It would be fun!

good post. I got a lot of good reading ideas. And glad to see Novella Carpenter has a blog. I so enjoy reading about urban farming. As sadly, my area is heading in that direction. Walgreens, Publix, Gas Station, <gasp> all coming or being built. :(

Applesauce to the Rescue!

We have an apple tree in our backyard, and end up with more apples than we know what to do with every fall. There are only so many apple pies we can manage.

The applesauce sounds like a great idea! Going to try the crockpot recipe.
