Interesting post.

Both my sons' classes went to Pioneer Village in Salem recently to enhance their discussion of early colonial times. It was small but interesting.

Thanks for the heads up on the Tomie diPaola book. We love him.

Thanks for your comment! I didn't write GET ACTIVE, you're right. It was almost a no-brainer for me, as my readers know how important I think staying physically activity is. Great suggestion.

My favorite trick is to make veggies fun! Try trees and cheese (broccoli and cheese), ants on a log (raisins and peanut butter on celery), let the make their own lettuce wraps, cut veggies into cool shapes, use them as dippers for a veggie based dip like guacamole, hummus, or baba ghanoush.

All of your suggestsions are awesome but I have one to add: Get active. Or move to Texas. Or as a middle ground, get active outside in the SUN - don't wait till night time to go for a walk.

is apparently working on a book that includes his status updates, random tweets, etc... I have no idea how he's pulling this together or what it's going to develop into, but I'm fascinated by it.

I often tweet and status update obscure stuff that only a few people really understand. It's intentional, I don't want to give the details behind that because there are consequences to that. Someday... five years from now, seven years from now - when all of the kids are really grown, then I'd consider spilling the beans (and giving the real dirt behind what I meant...)
