By day I work in bridal. There is so much demand for unique and affordable items like these. Kudos to anyone courageous enough to follow their dreams.

www.floridagirlmidwest.blogspot.com

RE: Spooning ETC

Yes, I agree, every marriage develops its own set of rules (many you make up as you go)! But, for me, separate bathrooms would be a death sentence. Our new master bath has double sinks and that's about as much independence as I need. I shed. I smear toothpaste. I loathe refilling the q-tips. Lord help me if John ever decides he wants separate bathrooms.

http://www.StuffMarriedPeopleLike.com

I don't think there in anything wrong with inventing your own rules for your cohabitation if it makes you a happier well rested couple. My hubby and I have agreed to keep seperate bathrooms, and that just isn't going to change.

My faves are ever-changing.

What inspires my favortie songs? Memories. Associated events. My playlist and favorites today, change pretty regularly. Usually with my mood:)

I would say that most of my all-time faves were from my youth. Big Hair Band stuff, rock and roll. A couple of love songs. It takes me back to good times and feeling free.

Hey I dont know about you

but the 4 is very easy for men. In fact that is how they think they validate us.

I want you, anytime, so why do you want me to do the other four things especially 3?

Act of service - what is that? Notice I said act - not acts. I would be so happy with one...........not after a shouting match but genuinely from the heart. To acknowledge that I am doing things for him, even when I dont want to.

But I guess with so many people talking about this, I am asking for the moon.

Yes, true

But what do you do when it hurts to give in? Not just your ego but also your self esteem?

The last I heard "compromise" was a two way street. You can compromise most of the time but resentment sets in. Unless of course as you say both concerned are committed to looking for "solutions that are equally satisfying to both of us".

One way streets lead to only one-way.

I am at a point in my life where I am ready to do the ultimate compromise - letting go. If living with me is not sufficient for you to give in once in a while, then I am willing to make the ultimate compromise - I am letting you go so you can do what you want without having ever to even think of me. I am letting you be yourself. Isnt that what you wanted?

Sorry for the rant but your article caught me on a day where I am one inch away from reaching for my suitcases..............

Absolutely! I just celebrated mine

Oh me. Oh my. Oh mama. Link TextSassafrass

After 18 long months, there was much to celebrate with the women who supported me through the shock, tears, triumphs, drama and finally, the finalization. It felt very much like my wedding -- a way to mark a new moment in time.

French Chef Omelette Pan

I found an amazing omelette pan from the Pot Shop of Boston. This may be a little more expensive than the ones you find at the department store, but from what I have read they last for decades...and only become better with time.

This pan is called the Original French Chef Omelette Pan and it was created by Julia Child. Also, it was reviewed by Cook's Illustrated and named the favorite/preferred omlette pan .

Here is a link of the review from Cook's.

http://www.potshopofboston.com/omelettepanreviews.htm

OH - there is also information on how to season an omelette pan on this site too - so the eggs won't stick.

HOW TO

SEASON & CLEAN

OUR OMELETTE PAN

Scrub well, rinse & dry.

Cover entire surface with cooking oil.

Heat until hot, not smoking. Let stand overnight.

Pour oil out. Put 1 Tbsp. salt into pan. Heat lightly. With towel rub salt into pan. Wipe out all of the salt. DO NOT WASH.

Pan is now seasoned.

After each use, clean only by wiping out with paper towel,

DO NOT WASH.

The Mother of the Bride

How embarrassing. That will teach me to scan. "My" wedding is over as well -- no wedding planner; lots of mixed families; no makeup person; extended families; children from ex's, new girlfriends etc., etc.

And I too think my new son-in-law is lovely.

Please forgive me.

Your kids have grown up with the technology, they'll do it - or something like it.

Which reminds me, I need to call my son since he seems to have forgotten how to Loopt.
