This is the kind of action we are taking on the other side of the world to get governments and industry on the page and getting real that is another aspect that is sorely not being addressed either....

http://www.vitalingus.com/

cheers

Vita

False Thinking about What it Means to be an Environmentalist

They are doing something at least, but they can be doing more. They just have an old mindset that they think is new. So that can be dangerous false-thinking that they are making as much of a difference as they can.

Amy Kehoe

www.amymusings.com

Similar to AcroYoga

AcroYoga is a totally fun style of yoga that requires the utmost presence as you balance your partner in the air and use thai massage techniques to give them loving guidance into deeper poses. Sounds very similar to what you are describing. My favorite studio in boston is South Boston Yoga and they offer 2 AcroYoga classes per week.

Are you a soda person?

I suspect that will determine whether you like the soda flavors. I hate sodas and I find the soda flavors sickly sweet. But then I find all sodas sickly sweet. The soda nuts among my friends liked them, or thought they were close enough for rock and roll.

A warning! Always add the flavoring AFTER you've carbonated the water. Otherwise you'll have a sticky mess inside your Penguin.

for this for the holidays for the last 6 weeks. I'm a water person myself but do you have any feedback on the soda flavors? If they are tasty my arguments may have more weight ... Thanks!

I absolutely see your point! But I do think that they are taking a big step in the right direction, and that they might put green in front of people who might not otherwise see it. Thanks for reading the post!

Green Cleaning Cost Comparison

I personally would never support a company that caused so much harm for so long. I chose the cleaning products I use based on the incredible cleaning power they provided and how concentrated the products were. I don't think anyone could dispute the amazing cost savings found here:

I am always suspicious of big names who brand some new product as "green", particularly then their previous products are pretty non-green.

Your sister

I would suggest your sister rent the hybrid that she's interested in buying and drive it for a week - under normal driving conditions (to work, to her home, running errands etc...)

I'm tempted to disagree with you about your sister and a hybrid. I am averaging 50mpg, freeway only, city only, combo.

I recommend renting any hybrid you're interested in for a week. We rented both the Hybrid Civic and the Prius several times before we were completely convinced that the Prius was the right car for us.

*Call your local Toyota dealer and ask if they have rental cars - most do and most have a Prius or two available for rent. I'm not sure about the Honda but those are a bit easier to get through some rental car companies.

I'd like to think that the recession will actually help green shopping. After all, even better than buying new clothes made of eco-friendly but virgin materials is buying pre-loved clothes -- which often are less expensive than the new stuff :)

It's a lot easier when you don't have to go searching. Times really are changing, and I am so glad. I wonder if the recession will impact green shopping?
