Sorry - I haven't bought anything today and don't expect to but I can relate to your problem, sort of.

My partner likes to give gifts. She really likes to give gifts. So, to prevent more clutter and save our bank account, she created a Kaboodle page called "Extravagant Gifts" = rather than actually BUY stuff... maybe something like this would work for you?

I was scared out of my mind putting together these numbers, but I'm trying to face such fears head-on. I don't want money to make me feel helpless anymore.

But now they're out there, we can talk about them, maybe even make a budget. Mr. Micah are sitting down to do something even scarier this Saturday...figuring out how much we owe in student loans (his) and car payments (his, but now ours) and credit cards (his). I have no full idea about this yet. So we're buying chips and salsa to eat while we work it out. Little splurge as a reward. :-)

It's rare to find someone who will post her spendings online. I would, but I can't. Someday maybe but not now. Life is like that in my world.

It's pretty interesting to track your spending every month, isn't it? We do it, or try to - though we sometimes lose track if life gets a little nuts.
