Fear of losing makeup

I had a similar fear until it actually happened - and I found out I can get away with a lot less makeup than I thought and that the drusgstore brands are fine.

I think we often get attached to our makeup, or to certain brands, out of habit.

My mame is Beth Engel. I've been running my own online business, Epic Merchandise, where I sell personalized, engraved gifts, since 2003.

I was always afraid of cream blushes. I never got the hang of it. But I've heard great things about the Dream Matte Mousse. People love it, and since it's a drug store purchase, I might try it. Still not sure how to blend it without looking like Tammy Faye, but I'll try!

i love blush as well, totally makes brightens up the face. i definetly need to branch out away from my bare minerals blush in "true" because i love it, but i have always wanted to try the neutrogena version. good suggestions!

On the Maybelline Dream Mousse stuff. It's amazing, and blends so seamlessly. LOVE it. My favorite powder blushes are Benefit's Dallas (it sounds like Coralista, as it's very much a bronzer/blush hybrid, and keeps me from looking undead in the winter), and Nars' Desire, the SHOCKING! PINK! COLOR! of which is admittedly frightening, but actually gives you just a touch of whisper pink tint.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is a great blush. The texture is really nice & it's so light on the skin.

The most amazing blush I've ever used is Nars Orgasm. What makes it so incredible is that it is the perfect hue between peach and pink. I've used it on clients from all ethnicities and it always looks perfect. You may want to add this one to your list as well.

Definitely going to try it. I've always been partial to creamy blushes. So much easier to apply!

I've used the Tarte cheek stains for years with great results. They're more of a sheer gel...but in stick form. (Kind of like the ones Bonne Bell used to make eons ago)

Ooh, I've been dying to try a Bare Minerals blush but have been scared off by the shades -- I don't know which one would be best! Is there one you use that's pretty sheer and neutral and pink-ish? Would love to try them out at Sephora. I've heard they're life-changing!

Liquid(ish) blushes have always frightened me, but I may try that Maybelline stuff.

As for the Neutrogena? YES YES YES. I use the same thing, though mine is "Rare Rose" (honestly I think the color is almost the same as yours). Impossible to screw up, nice and sheer, easy to throw in the makeup bag.

I live in waterproof mascara and I find the stuff with the little pink caps in CVS, like a few bucks a bottle, works just great.

I'd rather spend more on my mascara and less on taking it off.

Which mascara is it, Danielle? I'm using a Clinique mascara now, which I LOVE -- High Impact. Not entirely waterproof, but mostly makes it through the day (doesn't really start to fade or slide until after my kids are in bed, which is about ten minutes before I also get into bed, so not really an issue).

I use one (Mascara, that is) by Clinique that sells for about $15. It's the first mascara I've EVER been able to use because my eyes are so sensitive (and I've tried a lot, being a former make-up artist). It goes on without clumping and stays on all day. It's not waterproof, but I haven't had any trouble with smearing or flaking, and I've even cried through it. I've been very impressed.
