Hi, Roger!

Thanks for commenting on my post. You pose an interesting question. I should have remembered what Jeff was wearing, but apparently I cared more about what Jessica was wearing compared to my costume. It was a very humiliating experience, but I can look back and laugh at it now. At the time I didn't realize I was being put into a position of being "mocked", but again, you bring up a great point. I'll have to give that some more thought. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for your insight!

Leslie

it sounds like you think Jeff was almost "mocking" you with the costume. interesting that you remember EXACTLY what Jessica wore but can't remember what Jeff had on... ever ask yourself why?

Ack. Giant Cockroach!

It's probably good to distinguish complaining and whining. Whining is a nonstarter around my house and when traveling with me. But if the service is crappy, the food cold, the room dirty, etc... complaining is totally legit.

I recently traded complaint stories with a friend over dinner and she was appalled at the mgmt's response and was quite clear she'd not go back there, ever again. Her complaints were legit and the response? Blame the complainer. Not okay.

If you're with a travelers who's not JUST a complainer, but also, a fixer, well BONUS! Coz that's the person who will get you a better room and do it with a smile.
