Those articles were written by kids? Wow! I am certain we under estimate the future and I for one say we need to embrace their ideas and talents "NOW"!

Loving this!!

3 Minutes of Family News

Hi Lori,

I'm with you. That's why I watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart (:

I don't think the news would have to be all positive . . . it would just have to be presented differently . . .for example, take a look at this timeline for the U.S. in Iraq on TIME for Kids or their coverage of Obama's trip to the Middle East.

Britt that is a fabulous idea - pitch it!

I think people are sick of negative news wouldn't it be awesome to have something positive even if it were only 3 min? And I don't even HAVE kids and I like the idea - I'd watch!

Young people are awesome

I'm glad you liked the video, Lori!

I agree, Virginia. It would be cool if the network news had a "watch with your family" section of the news every night that was reported in a more young-person friendly way. I mean, if they can report international news in 3 minutes flat, they can create a 3-min kid-friendly segment!

This video is a good example of that. I think we can also help kids by helping them understand the news.

Thanks Alanna - Pablo Neruda is a great poet. He takes such simple things and makes them beautiful!

There are also quite a number of great poets from Africa that I will be featuring on my blog.

I also love to read and blog about food and eating well - so will definitely check out your contributions as well!!

Thanks again.

Trisha and more

Trisha includes a link to her site in every post that she makes, and I believe the other CEs on the list also include a link to their websites in their signature lines. You can also find them linked towards the bottom of their topics pages in the "contributing editor" information.

And, you can also contact them via the contact us form in their basic profile.

http://www.blogher.com/member/user-name is the format for reaching that page.

need more info

Thanks for the recs! I've added Jennifer, Happyslip, and Zadi, but I need more info on the rest of them - specifically, what they do and what fields they're involved in. Trisha doesn't have her own website (or otherwise doesn't have it listed) so it's a bit difficult.

If you're on Lisa's list and you're reading this - please respond :)

Okay, I am even better educated now! Here are a couple more BlogHer contributing editors whose advanced blogging/writing skills made me think they might be as much of an antique as I:

Okay, here are a couple of brilliant young women who come to mind. I reserve the right to slap my forehead and add some more later - I'm not really awake yet:

BlogHer Contributing editors Heather Barmore, Zandria and Amanda Shaffer. I believe these are the only editors currently under 30 - if I'm wrong and anyone knows, please correct me? (Hey, we don't require our 20somethings to wear special hats :)
