I first found out about this condition while watching Oprah who was showing portions of the Walk to Beautiful film. After that show I started researching Urinary Incontinence.

It's surprising how many people find themselves incontinent
at some point in their lives. Whether it
is a temporary issue during an illness, or the effects of giving birth, it is
said that 1 in 4 women encounter this problem at some point in their lives.

Hopefully the stigma of incontinence can be erased and more
women can seek help or not feel uncomfortable about doing those activities that
they love.

I was moved so much by the stigma assoctiated with Urinary Incontience that I started a blog about getting more awareness out there. I myself have it, as well as more than half of the other women on my soccer team. I'm hoping to have it help others as well.

I'll keep my eyes peeled, but, you'll be glad to know that what transpired in Naples has gone to the highest levels of government, with most politicians and the Ministry of Health stating that the law will be untouched and the people responsible will be punished (although the local prosecutor in Naples who gave the go ahead will most likely stay in his place).

Horrifying

That makes me sick. Can you imagine police storming in during any procedure performed on men (say, a vasectomy?) and having anyone consider it acceptable? This is just another outrage emanating from forcing people to live under the rules of one particular religious belief.

Sexism definition

I heard the concise definition of sexism at the Ms. Foundation event: Sexism is the belief that one gender is superior to the another.

I think many people don't understand how dangerous it is to objectify a person and see them as less than human and unequal to themselves. I read this article about detecting bigotry in the brain that illustrates how such devaluation, objectifying others, may lead to violence. Women are definitely objectified around the world.

As for Fox News, being forced to watch tat bastion of right-winger gone wild was not conducive to your staying lean. Stress causes us to hold onto weight. :-)
