I would love to find this

I would love to find this fat weak pathetic rapist that likes to take advantage of women with a gun. If the rapist is reading this, your days are numbered. It is in your own interest to turn yourself in, and avoid me getting my hands on you, that gun won't help you when I find you. I will make Capital Punishment seem like a joy ride, you piece of dirt.

I live in NW Columbus

I fit the profile and am a rape survivor, myself.

From the paper:

"We know he is male, possibly white, heavy build, between 5'7 and 5'9, and at least 200 pounds."

The first incident took place on Drivemere Road in Hilliard at 5:15 a.m. on June 4.

"The second was on Smiley's Corner at 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 12," McKee said. The man broke in to the residence and implied that he had a knife.

The third incident happened on Wakeford Street near Olentangy Commons Apartments. At 4:45 a.m. on Oct. 1, the man broke in and at knifepoint he sexually assaulted the victim.

The fourth incident happened at 5 a.m. on Oct. 5 at White Cedar Court near Galloway Road. He broke in and sexually assaulted a 22-year-old. This time, he did not steal anything.

The fifth incident was at 10:45 p.m. on Busch Boulevard, on the North Side of Columbus. On Oct. 23, the female victim came home, walked in her door and went to the bathroom. When she walked out, the man sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. He stole a credit card and used it at an ATM. This time the photo showed him wearing an R+L Carrier's hat with white writing.

The next assault, on Oct. 24, was the closest to the OSU campus. The rapist entered a King Avenue home on the Northwest Side through an unlocked door and confronted the woman with a gun.

The latest attack on Nov. 2 took place on Marlowe Court on the West Side of Columbus.

**He is now wearing a ski mask to cover his identity. He wore a baseball cap and bandana in previous attacks. Here are photos of him:

Marketing to African-American Moms: The Greening of the Black Co

This blog post is right on target.... and definitely has me thinking. As an African American Woman and Mom, it really hits home for me. Ihave always been involved with the green movement and I have converted my house to a green state...so to speak in a big way. However...it never occurred to me that Other African American Moms were not involved and as conscious as me.

I saw Palin on CNN and that is exactly what she was saying. Obama is not American because he does not fit into the 'Status Quo" but she phrased it to be interpreted by the public. Why? what is the Status Quo? people who look like her, I guess, oh and Christian. It is not politically correct to spell out exactly what she meant but she....well I consider her a puppet so I will say the McCain campagin knows that because of the people they are getting at their rallies they will understand what she means, banking on their supposed fear of his cultural and religious background, his supposed fraternizing with a 'domestic terrorist' whom might I add, if he really was a terrorist, why would he now be a professor at a university? Maybe the Republicans should look at that.......

I was just reading about McCain's problems legitimizing his Americaness because he was born in Panama, but apparently that is okay and not really that important, because of his daddy and his experiences as a soldier. Interesting.

"Obama isn't American, like you and me"

I've listened to pundits and "surrogates" all weekend claim that Palin and McCain themselves have not said anything racist or incindiary, which is of course not true, but one big one from the lips of Palin that should have people just STEAMING is when she said, "Who is Obama? He's not an American like you and me," or something to that effect. I was just shocked when I heard her say that. Where is the outrage?

Midwives, for the good of all

Ruth Lubic is a heroine. Birth is a natural process, not an illness needing hospitalization. Giving birth in a birthing center or at home allows mother and baby to bond as soon after birth as possible. This gives the baby the best chance for physical, emotional, and mental health.

For the woman without any serious medical complications during pregnancy, home birth, is perfectly safe, and the same can be said for the licensed, midwife-operated birthing center. Most importantly, the mother will be in control, assisted by someone she knows. [Essay 10, in my book, MOTHER EARTH AND THE GENE MACHINES, says much about the advantages of midwifery in countries around the world.]

Its the hardest thing in the world to send our little ones out into the world of the dreaded kindegarden....where they have been our own little preciouse ones for so many years, now they face the world and on thier own..

Children are so durable. They are stronger then we think. Somewhere in that class is another soul mate. Another best friend. there will be many.

As a mother of three, birracial, all of them I have beenin your shoes. Praying for them all at some time or the other to meet speical people so they don't travel the roads alone, and I have been answered every time. So shall you be. Now they are grown, they have had their slips and falls and continue to. But still they face life and go on.

We so worry about that, don't we?

black women were not included in the feminist movement

feminists could have cared less about the struggle of black women that is a fact of American history. We were not included in the feminist movement. They didn't want to "confuse" their message with the issue of race. What about the civil rights movement? We all know what the feminist response was. What about Ida B. Wells and the feminist movement?Feminists did not lift a finger. The lgbt community? When did they protest the treatment of women of color or even those with disabillities? White Feminists care only about white feminists and it makes me angry that they expect support but history proves they never give it. The lgbt community barely recognizes lgbt people of color.Obama or Hillary either is only part of a victory for black women.

Hi Michelle...

Glad you enjoyed the article. As I did in writing it. There is so much that i have to share about my journey to being "The Best" I can be... That it gets hard to really open up because you leave your self so open to the hurtful things that people can say. But when I checked my email and saw I had 2 comments my heart was so filled with a happiness, I can not tell you. I read yours as well and enjoyed it very much. Take care of you and stay Blessed!

I am one of those evangelical Christians of whom you speak in this entry. However, I spotted the hypocrisy about the Palin scandal as soon as the news broke last week. I have maintained, somewhat to my online detriment, my position that Gov. Palin should not be the VP nominee. Not only does she lack experience (esp. on foreign policy), but she needs to step down and take care of her family. If she did, Miss Bristol might not have gotten pregnant in the first place.

FTR, I'm registered Independent, and am leaning Libertarian this fall. I have become increasingly frustrated with the GOP over the past 4 years and this latest uproar/attempt at cover-up is one of the nails in the coffin.

You hit so many great points. It's not that white people have it easy when their teens get knocked up, it depends on where they are from. If they are Southern teens, then they get the banjo music and questions about incest. I do agree that in general, "minorities" are treated more like trash though. You mentioned the push for Norplant and whatnot, but don't forget that there was a time when there was an attempt at sterilization of black women in the US. Through the water. It's not a conspiracy theory, it's a flat out conspiracy that took place.
