Totally agree with your comments about Ty. But wonder how the judges can award him with an 8 when he's so clearly below the quality, skill level and grace of the other dancers. If the judges really want to give the voters the right message, they need to get it right first themselves. My 2 cents!

Tony made it to 3rd place

With pro wrestler, Stacy Kiebler who looked like she could win. But she fell apart with her freestyle dance which was her fault for letting her nerves get the best of her late in the game but also Tony's fault for the choreography. I'm a fan of Tony's but, yeah, he's not the strongest pro choreographer for the stars.

Although I didn't watch the last episode, I heard that Lawrence was kicked off instead off Ty and am very thrilled about that.

Not because I think Ty's any good but I really enjoyed Chelsie on So You Think You Can Dance and cant wait to see more of her dancing!

We used to watch that show. Whle we were taking dancing lessons. Then we realized that their idea of the dances were very different from our idea of the dances, and we got all wigged out and stopped watching.

I want him to stick around now too. He really tried and I thought his Frenchie cartoon character was sweet. For dancing, LT should go, but DAG is nails on chalkboard to me. Kym too, actually.

I agree with your assessment, but I have to say I was sad to see Maks go so early in the competition! I also feel they have been ridiculously hard on Steve W while being way too soft on Steve-O. How can you not feel for Steve W and agree that he has had his share of injuries while also carrying around that extra weight. I love his attitude and hope he makes it another week or so just for that! ;)

A few things I tweeted last night:

"Wow, what a crop of celebs on DWTS. Famous for going to jail, acting dumb while drunk, naked naughty bits, sleeping with Hef, revoked rose.."

"Oh dear ghost of Sid Vicious - they're dancing to The Clash. And I see SYTYCD losers have become the DWTS pro farm team."

"Good gravy! Reality show contestant does not equal star nor does getting dumped equal brave."

It was driving me just a wee bit crazy!

But, (grumble, grumble) Melissa was very good and, though it took a severe injury to Nancy O'Dell's knee, I was happy to see Tony out of the Dancing With The Cougars role he's been stuck with since Stacey. Getting a chance to see him contend might keep me coming back. But, if not, at least I have your recaps to look forward to. :)

Maybe some of it has to do with size: those peacock feathers sure do shine when the bird is really big. I agree with what you said about Jason's mediocre performance, yet when I was watching them I was mainly struck by his beauty. The male professionals seem to be the ones who go through horrific facial gyrations. Ooooh, ahhh, roll the eyes...why do they do that? It must be a convention of ballroom dancing, but it LOOKS STUPID.

Yes, I totally agree that Mark was busy outshining Kristi...I seem to notice it more when the male pros do that, although it's also often true that the female pros dance CIRCLES around their male stars.

Do you think it's a chivalry thing...we want the men to match their women in style and skill, but we're OK if the women are more flashy and flamboyant than the guys?

I agree about Marisa/Tony. I'm ashamed to say that she reminds me of somebody's Aunt Pearl dancing at the bar mitzvah--but she does, and that definitely detracts when I watch them. I also agree about Kristi and Mark, except: they didn't seem like they were dancing together as a couple. He's off dancing by himself it seems to be.
