We are so very fortunate to live in an area in the world, where we as women, have access to world class health care, and is so sad that so many millions of women don't even have just basic health care, let alone, specialized maternity care.

I will donate 50% of the sales from my on-line store, Little Pumpkin Sweet Pea Designs, for the rest of April until Mother’s Day to the BlogHers Act/Global Giving project.

Take for granted

It is often easy, for myself included, to complain about the health care crisis here in the U.S.A, we forget some countries don't have the basic simple health care that is a Human Right.

A great friend and neighbor who is from Africa had to help financially to send her mom to India for proper care of her moms diabetic needs. She was lucky to have the means to do this, along with the rest of her family. She stressed that alot of people don't have the means and that the care is far below that of other countries. Great article!

I love that your encouraging people to help woman centric non profit organizations.

I found some great videos about non profit organizations around the world that are helping mothers and educating third world countries on healthy pregnancy and healthy lives. The link below will take you to a video about a group called Mothers 2 Mothers.(sorry the link button wasn't working"

Just... thank you. For this.

And so part of me wants to write here about the good in the world, to increase its power and its reach until there is enough leaking out to heal me (selfish!) and to wrap my boys in comfort, and to be a better place when they grow up. I have always wanted to make the world a better place, and part of my frustration with this disease now is that it has me powerless and stuck - again - in bed as my body fights the cell death and tries to recover from the tens of MeV of radiation that we assult it with daily.

Really. Thank you. You are making the world a better place.
