My uncle's paycheck in Canada didn't have any more taken out of it than mine did when I compared them. They got UHC and we don't. What are we paying for? Let's get Cheney out before we start paying for a war in Iran. Spending on frivolous wars is a waste of $600 billions?

I want to hear them talking

I want to hear them talking about what they plan to do, not bashing each other. They're all easy targets right now. If just one of them would ignore the fray and speak to the ideas and plans they have for health care, we'd all benefit.

I pay a lot for health care I seldom use. I would not care at all if it were paying for someone else's care, but I think it goes to insurance companies. I'm in favor of the new clinics where you pay a set fee per visit, no matter what's wrong with you. Wish I'd hear a candidate talk about that! But the insurance companies would squall, that's for sure!

Iraq/Iran

I'm with you. I see no end in sight. One of my sons is serving in Iraq currently, his third tour in the mid-East. I want to see it over, yet I'm realistic enough to know we can't just leave. I remember the desperate last hours in Vietnam, pulling people off rooftops with choppers while they were being fired upon. We can't do that again.

I am waiting for someone to come up with a sensible, doable plan. I think I may wait until I'm an old, old woman. As long as we seek military solutions, there will be no solution. When we understand that our way is not the only way, we may begin to see light at the end of the gun barrel.

Obama just had a "gotcha" moment with Hillary on the Payroll Tax

Obama just got Hillary on the Payroll Tax increase that he supports.

Hillary said she did not support it because it would be a "trillion dollar" tax increase on the middle class.

Obama came back with the fact that only 6% of Americans make more than $90,000 a year, making this tax increase for the wealthy of this country not the middle class.

She flopped on her rebuttal.

Sorry Hillary...that one goes to Obama. I'd like to know what Edwards thinks but they cut to commercial.

A moms fear of son having to go and fight another war in Iran...

A mother with a son who has served three tours in Iraq, and is afraid her son will end up getting sent to Iran.

Hillary opposes a rush to war with Iran, but wants to sanction Iran as terrorists.

ooh = Edwards just said we got NAFTA which we don't need, at the expense of Universal Health Care, which we do, because of corporate interests. There's the labor vote, eh?

I love that Kucinich gets all fired-up about getting out of Iraq. I wish all the candidates were that passionate about getting out or Iraq.
