Yes, I like Mizrahi and haven't found Rowland's purpose in the show. Her questions to the designers last week didn't seem direct enough for them to get her point.

I was so much happier that this week this showed them choosing their fabrics. It really is an important element in the designs.

And, with their emphasis on retail saleability, I'm happy that we may never see a "Whole Foods" or "GM" challenge intailing the use of food products or car parts. While those could be creative, they weren't as much fun as fabric and wearable clothes.

I've watched both episodes, and I'll continue watching. I think Kelly Rowland is pretty useless, but I've always liked Isaac Mizrahi, and I think he's willing to be way more critical (in a constructive way) than most.

I really enjoy looking at multiple looks for cohesiveness, and I like that so far they haven't done any weird "make an outfit from produce" "make an outfit from car parts" challenges. I like real fabrics and clothes.

It could be OK.

I'm willing to wait it out. It's hard to not say "this isn't like PR did it!" or "I miss Tim!" I can't imagine how hard it is to produce a show that replaces something so beloved.

And, like you, I wonder if PR will change any -besides the move to LA - when it shows up again in August.

I'm a real Project Runway fan and this felt like a cheap replacement. That said, who knows what changes Project Runway will experience in it's new home so I am not writing off the Fashion Show just yet!

Well, thanks to you and Tim Gunn, I now have a new term: TREND AWARE. I love it. I also love the concept of Fashion Therapy. I'm pretty sure I could use some myself.

This interview was classic Tim Gunn. He's so down to earth, makes fashion accessible.... And, I have to say, I fell in love with him even harder when I learned he's an animal activist. He's had a lot of success encouraging many of the major designers to go leather-, wool-, skins-, and fur-free. So, if he was wearing what looked like leather shoes? They were most definitely faux.

He actually has a very graphic anti fur/skins video - for PETA - in which he calls animals Fashions greatest victims. I'd put a link to it, but it's disturbingly graphic. It's easy enough to google for those who still want to see it.

So, yes, WE LOVE TIM GUNN! Great interview!!

I love him on PR and I love his book, but this interview really shows what a class act he is. Not only does he seemed attuned to high fashion and everyday fashion, but he sounds so down-to-earth and intelligent while doing so! I"m in awe that you got to meet and interview him!

I love Timmy G.! How could I not? I absolutely agree with him about Meryl Streep--she's brilliant, but I think she's unnecessarily intimidated by fashion.

I also agree that a good blazer is a key piece for fall. A blazer and some strappy shoe-boots. Oh, and a statement necklace.

Ooh, and some leather...

See, this is why I had to give up shopping for Lent. No self control!

Great interview! Thanks for sharing. I wonder what he thought about Meryl Streep's Oscar-night fashion choice. I couldn't decide if I liked it or not, but E's Fashion Police loved it.
