BET J: Cool Like That

i've JUST started listening to NPR on the way to/from work and i'm addicted. i guess i'm outgrowing the antics of urban morning radio (does that mean i'm old? lol), but i'd rather learn on my way to work & get some good info than listen to people act a fool. anyway...i got the chance to catch the "This American Life" episode on Harold Washington, the first Black Mayor of Chicago. It was GREAT!! I'd never even heard of this guy (i'm a cali girl) and i was so intrigued by the interviews, the clips, and the storytelling.

BET J is GREAT. i love Meet the Faith & My Two Cents. I love that they show black folk, educated black people, DEBATING about REAL issues that affect us. I also really love the BET J Shorts & the fact they give young, minority filmmakers a chance to showcase their skills. it's a great channel and i'm so glad i get it. I wish the regular BET would start taking some clues.
