Cynical Much?

I am a snoop I admit it.  One of the guidelines that were given to Thing 1 when we agreed he could get an IM was that I would have access to the account and the final ok for adding buddies.  This has worked out pretty well except for one thing it has made me realize how cynical tween/teenaged girls are.

I was checking out Thing 1’s profile and noticed some of the away messages these young ladies have.  “Some day my prince will come but he’ll probably get lost and be too stubborn to ask for directions.”  WTH??  Now I could see this line coming out of the mouth of a 20 something but a tween/teenager?  If they are that jaded now just try and imagine how they will be in 10 yrs.   

It is just another realization of how tween/teenagers are tens times more mature than we ever were at that age.  The have the cynical mind of a 30 yr old trapped in the body of a teenager.  Heaven help us!
