Due to a horrific TV-tragedy (namely Bones, How I Met Your Mother and Dancing with the Stars all broadcasting between 8-9PM on Monday night, leading my TiVo to NOT record DWtS) I had to watch DWtS on abc.com. I'm grateful that method exists, but let's just say it's not quite as efficient as watching it with TiVo clicker merrily beeping in my hand.

So, I'm gonna make this quick and try to get my predictions in before I see an East Coast spoiler anywhere.

1. Mario & Karina danced the Samba

He has both great hip action and a great sense of masculinity when he dances...a great combo for the Samba. Sometimes he was a bit flat-footed, but overall I bought this completely.

2. Priscilla & Louis danced the Rumba

The beginning was stiff, and most of it seemed a bit more awkward than she usually does. She executed some nice splits and poses, but I found the whole thing less-than-compelling. (And I didn't like the outfit at all.)

3. Marissa & Tony danced the Samba

Well, finally the costumers were so busy hating on Priscilla that they let Marissa look a little bit lovely, you know? But it didn't fix everything. There is something about Tony's choreography for Marissa that simply feels a bit slow. Also, there could have been a bit more than endless shimmying and shaking for my taste (although you could say the same about other performances last night too!)

4. Cristian & Cheryl danced the Rumba

He didn't do much, as far as I could tell. And there were a few times when there feet were sliding nicely along the floor, but rather seemed to stick. I didn't get much from this and him.

5. Marlee & Fabian danced the Samba

This felt very awkward to me...Marlee has a tendency toward poor posture and stiff shoulders already, and the attempts to shimmy just seemed to highlight that. Lots of flat feet. Lots of missed beats. good hip action, but that was all that was good about it. I think Marlee continues to be at risk.

6. Kristi & Mark danced the Rumba

This was still a little careful, and far more pretty than hot. Still, everything she does is elegant, lovely and very very skillful.

7. Shannon & Derek danced the Samba

Wow, this was her first failure. She was not comfortable with this dance at all. Clearly, she's better at the elegant, graceful dances. This was fast and accurate, but not hot at all.

8. Jason & Edyta danced the Rumba

Well, I continue to be surprised by how Jason can really put it together. They are so well matched, and he just has great lines, and a surprising comfort with both the hip action and his nice arms and hands and posture. Great job.

Bottom line:

If it were me I'd probably put Cristian and Marlee in the Bottom 2 and send Marlee home.

Is the public ready to boot her though? Or will they return to their usual habit of booting pretty girls like Shannon? If I had to predict, I'd guess Priscilla and Shannon would be bottom 2, and Priscilla will be gone.
