Date Night Style: Pregnancy Edition

Remember last week when I ranted about pregnancy clothes being so pricey and that I was just trying to find stuff in my closet that still fit? (If not, read it here.) I'm taking the same advice this week. Let me just tell you about this skirt. I LOVE this skirt. I purchased it and then found out I was pregnant and then was promptly sick for 4-5 months. Being sick all of the time really limits your nights out, let me tell you. This outfit is perfect for a date night or a non-black tie (re: casual or cocktail) event.

So this skirt has been sitting in my closet, staring at me with the price tag still on it.

Taunting me.

Quite rude, actually. I tried this on last night to see if it still fit on a whim, and IT DID!!! It's made of metallic gold fabric interwoven with black in the most stretchy material I've ever seen. It is a tight pencil skirt (a la Mad Men) but I can still WALK and sit in it. Glorious. High pencil skirts are also great for pregnancy if they have some stretch because the waist sits above the bump.

Needless to say, I knew this was the outfit of choice. Throw on my favorite red soled heels, and off we go! IMG_4813 IMG_4839 IMG_4853 IMG_4870 IMG_4889

I honestly have no idea how much longer I can keep wearing crazy heels and pencil skirts, but hey, it's fun, so I'm running with it. I think we've already established that I sort of do what I want when it comes to my pregnancy wardrobe. ;)

Have a great Wednesday!
