Day Four: Hello Energy!
By Shaunta Grimes on December 18, 2013
It’s 8:30 p.m. and my energy is just now really waning.
In fact, when my husband and I were talking about going out shopping at about 7, I was DISAPPOINTED when it didn’t happen.
This is huge.
I don’t go out at night. I just don’t. I’ve blamed it on different things, but truth is that my store of energy only lasts to dusk most days.
God, this is HUGE.
I have a date to meet my friend Albert at the gym tomorrow. We’re going to lift weights. I’m going to swim a few laps, too. And then I’m going to soak in the hot tub.
Right now, I feel really good. I’m right at the beginning of my Eat the Food adventure. I think making sure that I eat a solid breakfast and lunch has made a big difference. Getting enough sleep, too.
I took Ruby to a birthday party at a local venue that’s basically a big room full of trampolines. I didn’t jump. I didn’t dress for it, I didn’t have any money with me, and really—deep down—I wasn’t excited about bouncing and sweating and sucking air in front of a room of mostly strangers.
Next time, I’m jumping.
Question of the day: What you jump on a trampoline in front of a room full of strangers?
