Dealing with Diets

I have realized today that weight loss is so much more than diet and exercise. It is a lifestyle change. This weekend I ate well and badly. There was queso and chicken fried steak and brocoli and cheese casserole. I gained a pound and a half since Thursday. No I do not think I ate 7000 calories, yes my monthly causes fluctuations, however I assumed the amount of exercise I did Friday, Saturday, and Sunday would even me out. Especially since I fit into the pair of jeans I bought in November to encourage me to work past my plateau. So I’m discouraged and determined to fix this turn of events. However, I cannot deny my love and food. Coming to the realization that I will not be able to eat like I used to is discouraging. I assumed intense portion control and moderate exercise would allow me to maintain my loss. I am under the very real impression that fiber bar breakfast, salad lunch, and even more exercise is what I’ll need to be healthy. I know it’s just a number and things like bone density aren’t calculated into those weight charts, but I’m still Kinda sad about it.

Anyone else struggling with weight? How do you balance the lifestyle change? What do you do about plateaus and discouragement?

In other news, I got planet earth for half price and watched boondock saints 2 and it rocked!!!

I feel like the above comment is a scam. I have serious trouble believing that there is such a thing as fat burning tea and coffee. You are doing the right things, controlling portions and exercising. That's the way to keep off the weight.

When I reach a plateau I tend to have a bad reaction. I try to kick up my diet and double my exercise, but I'll be the first to admit this is not a healthy way to handle the situation. My best advice is to stick with it and look at your overall progress. This is something I need to do as well. Everyone's body is different and sometimes the solution is just trying a different technique. Maybe do some weights if you've plateaued with cardio or try yoga if you're not getting the results you want from that kick boxing class.

I too struggled with my weight.... did the diet thing, did the exercise thing.... did it ALL! But one thing that I have done that is actually working is this....

I drink a fat burning coffee in the morning a half an hour before I eat and then a fat burning tea in the afternoon a half an hour before I eat... I do NOT have an exercise routine because I am so busy throughout the day, which is part of the weight problem. I've been drinking these for about 4 months now and already I've burnt 20lbs of fat and dropped 3 pant sizes!!! The drinks don't taste bad either!! They help curve your appetite so you can still eat what you would normally eat, still being able to have those "bad" days and not feeling guilty!! If your interested you can visit the website to get more information....
