December 2013 Topbox Reveal
By hereismotherhood on December 26, 2013
Hello everyone and welcome to my December Topbox Reveal! If you’re new and want to find out more about Topbox you can do that here.
Have any of you joined this subscription? I still enjoy receiving my monthly curated box, it is such a nice surprise in the mail. I justify the $12/month by saying that I live two and a half hours away from the nearest M.A.C. counter. Oh, and I’m a mom! We need something special, too!
Topbox has been receiving a lot of flack as of late. Customers are complaining about their samples and variety. I have never received the same sample twice. And, they’re just that… samples. If you’re in the market for full size products with the ability to choose exactly what you want, then a curated beauty subscription isn’t for you. Just sayin’, because I’m tired of all the grumbling. Anyway, getting on with things!
This product came in its full size! The value alone is worth more than my Topbox. Plus, it is a product that I will use just about daily! The scent is fantastic and so far it hasn’t left an awful residue like a lot of heat protecting sprays.
2 // Cover FX CC Creatm Time Release Tinted Treatment SPF 30 $45/30mL= $7.50 value (really, $15 value since I received TWO!)
“Treats, corrects, and protects your skin with buildable coverage and leaves a radiant, natural finish.”
I was so excited when I saw this in my Topbox! I don’t regularly use my foundation, but like to use a BB or CC cream everyday. So far I’ve tried Clinique and CoverGirl. CoverGirl is a waste of money, but it has an SPF so I wear it anyway. The Clinique and Cover FX have very comparable end results. But, the texture when applying is very different. This CoverFX is more reminiscent of a foundation, whereas the Clinique feels light and airy. With that said, I am not at all disappointed with this product! Plus, Topbox slipped two into my box, not bad… not bad.
3 // Cuccio Colour Nail Lacquer $10/14 mL= $10 value
“Triple pigmented colour, DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde FREE, High Shine Professional Nail Colours.”
Another full size product! I love this red and it will be perfect for Christmas. I have yet to apply it, but judging by the brush and look of the lacquer, it should be a high quality polish.
4 // Belvada Costmetics Coconut Lip Butter $10/10 mL= ? value
“Belvada’s Coconut Lip Butter was specially formulated to create immediate and long-lasting softness.”
There is not a label on this product telling me its volume, but I’m guessing it is perhaps full size. The smell of the butter is divine, but unfortunately it isn’t very long-lasting. On the bright side- it isn’t sticky or tacky and does create softer lips!
And that was my December Topbox! The total value was $49 and I paid just $12.60. Let me know if you’ve signed up or if you’ve started to receive your subscription. I’m curious to know what you got in your own Topbox!
