Deep Blue Something

Several of my friends have horrible relationships. Just horrible. Games and all that goes with it, as well as facades, and barriers, and the junk that keeps people from really connecting. We think peace offerings will help, but in the words of the people who write for the hottie Dr. House, "Gifts give us the opportunity to show just how little we know about each other." You know what I say?!?! I say find a movie you like and stick with it! That's what I say!

And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's?' "
She said, "I think I remember the film. And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

I mean, this song just SCREAMS of a stable and life giving relationship. Let's look deeper, or rather deeper blue-er, shall we?

"And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's?' " Ok...right away you can see the guy is desperately trying to save this amazing love affair. Come'on! Poor thing. He's trying to find anything-or rathersomething. Something deep and/or blue perhaps. He went all the way back to a movie they saw together starring Audrey Hepburn. He's probably thinking, "Girls LOVE Audrey Hepburn!" This will totally pull on her heart strings.

"She said, "I think I remember the film. And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it." Wow. She is being so aloof here. "I think Iremember the film"???? You have to have been born in a cave to not know that movie. Target has baby doll tee after cut-off shirt with the famous A.H. in her famous black dress, famous pearls, and famous sunglasses. You can't NOT know this one. I think Iremember...stop playin' him yo! But she just strings him along even more. Cold hearted you know what! She goes on..... "And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it." Ok...let's look at the sentence structure in this. Recall means to remember something. Thinkmeans to remember something. So technically this sentence should read, "And as I remember, I remember....". Now at this point she has said, "I remember I remember the film. And as I remember I remember we both kinda liked it." And there again, she just won't let him win! She finishes by saying, "we both KINDA liked it." Looks like love to me! How often does one find a person with whom you both KINDA like something?!?!?! That's rare. Treasure that! They didn't even have to go full into "like". They both kinda liked it. ISN'T THAT ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?!?!?!
But see, he gets it.

He then says, "And I said, 'Well, that's the one thing we've got." Now if you take out the contractions, the sentence actually reads, "Well that is the one thing we have got." Which, " I think I think" maybe should have been the way he should have said it. And that may have made the difference and gotten her to literally think twice about breaking up.
