Designer Spotlight: Swati Padmaraj of Atiz
By PJ Gach on August 11, 2014
Swati Padmaraj was a chemist who turned into a fashion designer.
Washington state based fashion designer Swati Padmaraj started her professional life in the sciences. Padmaraj holds two Masters Degrees: One in Inorganic Chemistry, the other in Business. Her love of fashion kept tugging at her. After getting a BA in Apparel Design, she left science and followed her dream. Padmaraj is the designer behind Atiz.
Elegant, whimsical, sexy and modern are words that can be used to describe her line. Padamaraj mines her Indian heritage and adds a modern twist to her clothing. Mixing Eastern and Western influences, you’ll find day dresses with intricate embroidery, tops with sheer layering, finely tailored jackets in bold colors. Each piece has fine detailing and tailoring. Everything is made to last and last. Atiz’s debut Spring 2015 collection (available online now), with prices that start at $59, will be featured at the Vancouver, Portland and Los Angeles Fashion Weeks.
If you’re looking for a fashion investment that’s elegant, timeless and showcases your personality, visit the Atiz website.
