Desire Map Book Club

About three weeks ago, Sheena, the owner of Raw Republic here in New Orleans, reached out about starting a book club. Knowing the authors she carries in her store, we both knew we were meant to join in, so we did. Two weeks in and we are loving every second of it!

The first book we are reading is The Desire Map by Danielle LaPorte. Woah. Talk about getting real with yourself! The questions posed by Danielle each week force you to be vulnerable. It is absolutely beautiful.

Week one was more of an introduction. We were overwhelmed with the joy of being connected with like-minded females {book club is open to men, we just don't have any ... yet ;)}.

Week two we dived in head first. We were asked to have prepared 3-5 core desired feelings.

Have you done this before? Asked yourself how you truly wanted? How you wanted to feel? If not, do it!! In our opinion, it is necessary. Yes, it's totally scary, however, more likely than not doing so will give you that 'ah-ha' moment you need to take the next step forward or let go and move on to your next project.

After a few members shared what they wanted and how they wanted to feel, a trend became apparent. What they wanted in life could be traced back to their core desired feelings. So freaking cool. So freaking gorgeous. We were both amazed by all the different feelings: authentic, balanced, connected, and supported to name a few.

As we said, we think it is necessary to get real with what YOU want. So our question for you is:

What are your core desired feelings?

We really want to hear!! Liz's core desired feelings are freedom, support and creativity, while Alli's are creation, adventure, abundance and wanderlust.

Another food for thought ...

Once you determine what you want to feel, what can you do today, at this very moment, to get there?

Stay tuned for our answers to this question coming next week!

BTW Danielle is totally bad ass and we LOVE her book, questions and weekly videos. It is clear she is at peace. Inspiring and breathtaking. If what we shared today tickled your pickle, we highly recommend checking out her work!

Love,

L and A
