Digging the Dirt: It's Harvest Time...
It's been a while since I've a large gardening blog roundup. This is a time when the work outside overrides the need to write about it inside. But as the days grow shorter, the blogposts are getting longer again. So let's see what's happening in the gardens of the world:
Emma wonders what's your least favorite garden chore? Why don't you blog about it, leave a link in her comments and get the "chore meme" growing!
Yvonne is still suffering from drought in her garden, but she's hopeful that September will bring a new beginning.
Farmgirl Fare has all the info on freezing zucchini.
Nelumbo has Gardener's Block. There are plenty of tips for writer's block, but I'm not sure what would translate to landscape design.
There are plenty of interesting rants at Garden Rants: covering a bad locovore wannabe, a front yard criminal (but really, her front yard is anything but a crime!), and planned communities with hopes of viticulture.
Andrea discusses how her gardening meshes nicely with her spouse's love of cooking, though they do not share each other's passion.
Genie's weather warning added chores to her To Do List.
Jocelyn is spreading the word about Blog Action Day:
October 15th is the first ever Blog Action Day, and bloggers from around the world (including myself) will be posting about one very important topic- the environment. This is an incredible opportunity to get the word out about this important subject and reach millions of people. The list of environmental issues to write about seems endless, and I would like to know what you’d like to read about! Do you know of any great environmental topics related to gardening? If there’s something you’d really like to hear more about, please let me know!
