The holiday season has definitely pushed home improvement projects to the back burner in most houses, mine included. Who wants renovation dust mixing it up with your sparkling Christmas decorations? I love this time of year because I feel like all my decorations mask the rubble a little bit. No longer is your eye drawn to the cracked plaster walls, because, "Look! Over there! Something shiny and sparkling!"

On the house front, nothing much new is going on. We are still in the process of decorating for Christmas... No new projects until the New Year. But I will be baking lots and lots of Christmas cookies in the coming days to send off to dh's work and to give to various neighbors and church folks.

all of those activities also means very little movement on the renovation front until the New Year. Hmm…Family fun, presents, a degree, and a tan in December OR insulating the attic.
I might be a reno geek, but the choice is obvious…
So, they are staying home to insulate? Right? No I kid. Because that would be crazy.

It feels nice to have the house ready for Christmas. I am looking forward to seeing the house as the decorations change over the years, but I think we have a good start.
We had good intentions on the bathroom this weekend, but with Christmas coming up, we just didn't get it in.
As an aside, their house is gorgeous. I love the wood trim work and their Christmas tree in their foyer is perfect.
Ok, not really a blog but this FLOR rug for underneath the Christmas tree is brilliant. I need one of these for my leaky Christmas tree stand and children who want to water the tree but then miss the container all together.
And that my friends, wraps up the DIY non-projects that are going on around the net at this time of year. What will I write about from now until the New Year?
