Does anyone believe that getting an education is a quick process?
NO, it’s a life long journey.
How about getting a business started? Does it happen overnight?
NO, it takes ambition, drive, and hard work.
How about getting in shape? Can you do this in a few short weeks?
NO, again. Toning, stretching, and gaining stamina all take time.
Why do people think it’s possible to lose a substantial amount of weight in a short period of time? Perhaps it’s a by-product of our “Instant Gratification” generation.
Guess what? It isn’t going to happen. Don’t let anyone kid you; losing weight is hard work.
So many advertisements promise quick weight loss, and people actually spend hard earned money on these programs.
According to a 2005 article in Forbes,
Forbes: What 10 diet plans cost - MSN Money
Americans spent 46 billion on diet products and books, but are still gaining weight.
Why? Because we want to believe in the “Magic Bullet Theory.”
There is NO magic bullet.
Just like everything else of value in our lives, losing weight takes effort, hard work, time, and energy.
Isn’t it time to plan meals, to exercise, to start counting calories (which no matter what you read to the contrary, is really a necessity), and to keep a food and exercise journal?
To be frank, it is easier to succeed than to fail, if you really try hard to achieve your weight-loss objectives and goals, doing it the right way.
The correct way, is to put in the time, energy, effort and conscious effort to do the right things to have proper weight management.
After all, it’s about a Healthy Lifestyle.
