Shoe porn. We've all seen it -- the beautifully lit stiletto balanced on a glass shelf, the perfectly manicured toes peeping out of a delicate sandal. But wait, there's more to it than that, right?

I believe in the power of comfortable -- and beautiful -- shoes. Flip-flops. Wellies. Sneakers. Even ... clogs. So I give you the pair I'd like to be buried in ... The Puma Speed Princess Ballerina. I am so not making that name up.

Aren't they awesome? Now, which shoes would you want to be buried in? Sandals? Kickin' stilettos? Thigh-high biker boots? Show us a photo and register to win a $100 Visa gift card.

Here's how it works: Leave a comment describing the shoes of your desire. You can upload a photo here using HTML (here's a guide) or leave a link to the photo somewhere else on the Web. If you want to use Flickr, please upload your photo without restrictions to our Flickr BlogHer Bury Me in These Shoes group.

You must upload or link to a photo in the comments on BlogHer to be registered for the Visa gift card drawing, which will take place at noon Pacific on Friday, April 16!

Make sure you have your e-mail address in your BlogHer profile so we can contact you if you win.

One comment on this post equals one entry into the contest. You may link to a photo of your own or a photo showing the shoes you pine after on snowy winter nights. We will put all the comments into a randomizer to choose the winner. Comment as many times as you want! Good luck!

Official Contest Rules

Don't miss the Do Tell Archive. Last week we asked for your worst hairstyle to win an iPad.

I don't think Keen makes any quite like this anymore, but these are my favorite for hiking, canoeing, fording streams, walking around town, gardening... pretty much everything except snowshoeing! ;)

Ignore my winter feet.

Late last Summer I wrote about this particular shoe! It is my "Man I feel like a WOMEN" shoe. I had just given birth months before this post, and was going out with the ladies. I put on those bad boys and made ALL the formula bottles for my husband to feed the baby while I was out! It felt like heaven!
These are 100% going to heaven with me!

A crazy man just stole most of my shoes, but before he did, these babies were my faves:

They hurt and made me want to cut my feet off at the end of the day, but God they're precious!

I accidentally stumbled upon these stunning stilettos in a high-end mall in Florence, Italy, on vacation. A year later, I watched Kim Cattrall strut across the screen in the 'Sex and the City' movie in them in the sushi scene. To think I could have beat her to the punch, if I'd had 650 Euros to spare...

My more realistic option for grave-appropriate footwear (of course there's no such thing!) would be my red pointe shoes. I've been a ballerina for years and these never cease to make my heart swell with pride. Pointe is the most challenging, painful art in the world, and I love every little bit of it, especially these shoes!

I dreamed about these for over a year before I finally found a knock-off version on Ebay for $20. Of course they look the same, and I can't walk out the door without getting compliments on them, but I'd like to be buried in the real thing. I'd rather like to go into the afterlife with $800+ south of my ankles.

I want to be buried in my ballet shoes.

But if i not die dancing with it... PLEASE, these boots:

I dream of these since ever. There must not be good for a walk, but for the eternal rest and dance in the clouds, look perfect and fashion.

It's been my avatar for a couple of years now, this shot of my feet in my most favoritest shoes ever. Wait, no, that's not 100% true. My most favoritest shoes ever were a pair of flip flops that became so fashionable on the Jersey shore decades and decades ago. I wore them all summer long through six summers. These Reefs? They are on their third summer. And I'm going for at least three more.

to be buried in these grey suede t-strap fringe heels. For me, the higher the shoes, the better.
