Do You Feel Pressure to Write Amazing Blog Posts?
By Melissa Ford on October 02, 2013

How often do you not blog because while you have things you could say (and very much want to say), the topic doesn't seem as important nor is the post coming out as brilliantly as other blog posts out there? The comparison game is one of the number killers to "just blogging": that state of writing your blog and deriving joy or peace of heart from it; writing for writing's sake. Too Many Fish to Fry has a post about feeling as if she can only blog if she can "amaze the room."
I don’t know. I have missed blogging this month. The less I blog, the more pressure I feel to amaze a room with my next post. That’s probably the worst thing about not blogging for me. I get out of the practice of writing, and begin feeling pressure the more I don’t post to ONLY come back if I have something unique, something thought-provoking to say.
It's funny because she claims that the post itself isn't thought-provoking but I disagree. I think second-guessing your blog topic or writing style is interesting to discuss. So please read Too Many Fish to Fry's whole post, and also tell us if you've ever not blogged because you feel that pressure to dazzle readers.
