Do you have the Holiday Blues?

This time of year can be stressful. All the shopping, parties, cooking, cleaning, etc. can really get you down. Not to mention the unrealistic expectations, family tension and financial strain.

 Here are a few things you can try to make yourself feel better:

  • Volunteer some time to help others
  • Set a budget and stick to it
  • Plan ahead and stay organized by making lists of what needs to be done
  • Ask for help from others if you need it
  • You don't have to go to every event, it's okay to say no
  • If you do go, don't stay too long
  • Try to eat healthier and exercise, also get enough sleep
  • Start a new tradition
  • Shop online rather than deal with the crowds
  • A glass of wine or two won't hurt, but don't drink too much
  • Don't worry if things aren't perfect, nothing is
  • Take a break and have a cup of tea 
  • Spend some time outdoors in the sunlight
