Do You Know the Way to Austin?

BlogHer Original Post

Have you ever visited Austin, Texas? I hadn't until about two years ago when I was working for a high-tech company that makes phones and computers and other cool things. Our Events team was headquartered there so I had to go for several team meetings. Once off the plane the first time, I got it: Austin is cool and Austin is weird. And Austinites love it.

So when I joined BlogHer last fall, I was thrilled to find out that BlogHer Food '13 will take place in Austin in on June 7 & 8. We have a fabulous two day program in store for our attendees, with sessions ranging from "Mobile Photographs That are Magazine-Cover Worthy" with Diane Cu and Todd Porter to a panel entitled "Telling Community Stories and History Through Food," moderated by Addie Broyles to a knife skills workshop with Hank Shaw. In addition to our two days sessions, we will also have a reception the first night with our sponsors, followed by optional outings which we will be announcing soon. And during the second day, we will have a excursion to one of the foodie centers of Austin!

I visited again last October to see our venue and get to know the city in BlogHer terms and I can't wait to go back! It's a vibrant, fun-filled, interesting city... full of amazing music, fabulous food and very nice folks.

You can register for BlogHer Food '13 here!

Looking forward to meeting y'all there....
