Domestic violence victims go through physical and emotional pain. Most of these women and sometimes men too, need medical attention and counseling. But what happens once they leave their violent past and move on their own into society? One huge problem confronted by these victims is a monetary one. Most of these women depended financially on their abusive spouses. Out on their own, these victims have a hard time finding work and sometimes end up in another dominating abusive relationship.

There are a few organizations or companies that pitch in and offer help for domestic violence victims. The Allstate Foundation and The R.O.S.E Fund (Regaining One's Self Esteem), are just a couple of the organizations that offer services for victims. These organizations offer victims the tools to rebuild their lives, achieve self-sufficiency and regain their self-esteem. They do this by educating victims on how to manage their finances, offering grants and scholarship monies. The R.O.S.E Fund also offers facial reconstructive surgery.

To learn more about these particular organizations click on the links above. You can also search on the web for other organizations that can help you or someone you know that has lived through this horrible ordeal.

I just wanna give u props Michelle for everything you are doing. I'm in WV and my 6 year old son was sodomized here. Raped anally and orally. His perpetrator was proven mentally incompetent to stand trial. Released back in the community never having to register as a sex offender being that he couldn't be convicted. I'm talking with legislature officials trying to get this guy locked up in a state facility for the criminally insane or at least get a law passed for my son. If you have any advice I'd be glad to hear it and if your fighting from state to state I sure could use your help here in West Virginia. You can contact me at chellespeach06@yahoo.com. I'm at my wits end trying to get justice for my son and stopping this man before he hurts another kid because just as sure as he did it to mine he'll do it to someone else's kid. People like this have to be stopped.

hi! I am a voice for victims of rape and molestation! I just got a new law passed in the State of Illinois where perpetrators pay lifetime longterm care in thev State of Illinois. It is getting ready to be named after me as The Michelle Eppel Act. I am getting this law in other  states as well. I walked my streets raising 536 petions and went to my Senator and met up with Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault. I testified at our Capitol I lobbied, I did T.V. news, radio news, newspapers stories around the State of Illinois To bring awareness. This new law did not help me because I knew it of time lapse. I am a voice anmd this law is my gift. I just got my first book published at Authorhouse called The Cape, it is about my law, my rape, abuse, leaving abuse, death, love, spiritual healing. It cam be ordered at http://authorhose.com ( http://authorhose.com/ ) or in bookstore just give Title and author Michelle Eppel.

I tried to put my law on forum but I am only one there. LOl! How do I post? I'll be back!
