Don't Buy This Book
It's been a while, so I will go on a rant . . . . .
New York Times bestselling author Charla Krupp is suppressing the readers she claims to support again with a new book, "How to Never Look Fat Again" - Over 1,000 Ways to Dress Thinner - Without Dieting!"
She lists some of the things a woman can wear that make her look fatter (I kid you not!) here are but a few:
ankle-strap shoes,backpacks,ballet flats,Birkenstocks,boxy blazers,Crocs, cuffed pants,flip flops,gladiator sandals,high waisted pants and skirts, lace up espadrilles,newsboy caps, over-the-knee boots, oversized anything,round eyewear, t-shirts, shorts, Uggs,white coats,white pants,white shoes and white stockings.
What the hell?
Helpful advice? I say not, the point is to diminish women by reinforcing the tired old idea that our value is our appearance.
Charla wants you to shell out for her book loaded with ideas like, "Just keep the focus to where your body really looks good and keep your problem areas in just a dark solid that's well-shaped."
Enough of the elitist, misogynist tripe Charla! This book and its 2008 predecessor,"How Not to Look Old. Fast and Effortless Ways to Look 10 Years Younger, 10 Pounds Lighter, 10 Times Better," incorrectly imply that there is something wrong with women from appearances alone.
You couldn't be more off the mark, women are fine as they are. Period. We can spot superficial thinly veiled attempts at degradation from actual help.
Get a clue judgemental Charla - it's about inner strength and supporting each other.
Save your dollars beautiful sisters.
