Dragged Into the New Millenium

"We surveyed our blogs" say the new commentators on TV and opinions are..blah, blah" I'm like what is THAT? Of course my kids try to explain it to me and I'm wondering, "people can just say whatever they want and other people read it and now the news media is using the 'blogs' to test public opinion?"

When did this happen? Well needless to say I have been brought up to speed by my kids, the video game, text message, cell phone, computer savvy generation and I am being dragged into the new millennium  of communication. I still spell all my words out and try to punctuate my emails which my kids say takes too long. Email is not the fastest choice for communicating now. Facebook and Twitter are the way to stay in touch. While I was trying to get my mind around that, the texting thing started, which I am still a hold- out on. "We" my generation talked to each other face to face or on the old fashioned stationary phone at home but I guess blogging for us is what calculators and VCR’s, personal computers and synthesizers were for our parents. But anyway here I am "blogging". I also learned about You-tube, Scribd, Hubpages , Squidoo and now the latest for me---Skype. Who knows where I'll end up next...LOL
