Early Reading Books - Four Favorite Heart Warming Stories

Way back before Pie was born we started our collection of story books and board books. Some were given to us by our family, others we found while thrift shopping, and even more at local consignment shops. We have a very extensive library at home but that never stops us from visiting our local library for titles we don't own. Some of Pie's favorite stories are pretty heart warming and they might be some of my favorite kinds.

Today we're sharing some of our heart warming stories Pie still loves to read.

I Love You, Good Night by Jon Buller

This board book makes a perfect bedtime story for your little one. We often make up our own "I love you more than..." ideas at bedtime.

Pie's thoughts - "It's cute. I like the end when it's time for kisses and cuddles."

I Am a Rainbow by Dolly Parton

We received this book as a part of Dolly's fantastic program Imagination Library. Unfortunately the program is no longer, but we are very lucky to have been a part of it. We loved this book that helps kids identify their feelings.

Pie's thoughts - "Each color has a feeling. Like red means mad. Yellow means scared."

My Monster Mama Loves Me So by Laura Leuck

If a book reminds Pie how much I love her, I'll take it. This cute story is another sweet story.

Pie's thoughts - "My favorite part is when the mama takes the monster kid swimming. Just like me! But not in the swamp..."

Kitty Up by Elizabeth Wojtusik

Pie will read anything with a cat or dog, this story has both. An adorable story about a lost kitty and it's adventure. With an unlikely friendship, this rhyming story was a perfect read for Pie when she was starting out.

Pie's thoughts - "I love kitties! The best part is that the kitty finds a friend."
We've got lots more books to share and Pie is super excited to tell you her thoughts on them.  Share with us your heart warming story books to read with your child. We're really looking forward to sharing more of our favorites, look for more favorite four stories coming soon. What are your favorite sweet stories?
