Before this latest redesign we did have a forums link at the top of the page, and we had more forums. Because our focus is not on forum discussions, we made the decision to reduce the number of forums on BlogHer and move the link to the bottom of the page.

Forum usage has not gone down with the movement of the link to the bottom of the page, it's remained about the same.

I'll definitely discuss this with our team when I'm in the office next month.

Flamingo House Happenings

I understand that forums aren't your focus, but they're useful tools. It'd be nice to have more convenient access to them--and a more convenient way to navigate through them once you're in them. I suspect the forums would be more active if people didn't have to jump through so many hoops.
