Easy Healthy Homemade Smoothie

I want to share an easy smoothie recipe that I came up with, in the spirit of the new year. It is chock full of delicious fruits and veggies and tastes good too. Don't let the green color fool you. I promise it is delicious!
What you need:
- 2 handfuls spinach
- 2 sliced bananas
- 2 peeled and sliced oranges
- 5 strawberries - cut off the tops
- Almond milk or soy milk
- Chia seeds - optional
- Put the spinach into the blender first.
- Add the other fruits.
- Add the almond milk.
- Add ice.
There you have it! A super easy and delicious smoothie recipe. I will be using this recipe as a base and changing up the fruits every morning. Blueberries would be good in this as well.
I was really skeptical about adding spinach to my usual fruit smoothie, but I have to say that we will probably be drinking more of these in the future. It was easy to do, my blender didn't die (always a good thing) and there was very little prep involved. Yes, you have to take the skin off the oranges, but that was easy. I also love this because there are so many variations you could do with it. The possibilities are endless! Jeremy even tried it and although he didn't love it as much as I did, he didn't say it was terrible. I will take that as a win!
