On a study released by Self Magazine in 2007, based on women reaction to cause marketing. Shows that in 2007, their main motivation for giving back to a cause was–the “ethical” and “Socially responsible” things to do as an “informed” person.

Here comes the better side of the study–what is motivating us today are more human emotions–the “caring, generous, unselfish” thing to do. All I have to say, is that our world is “Rocking”.

It's funny, but it makes perfect sense. When we give for the sake of appearance or adherence to trend it comes out stilted. Giving to charity when you are strapped yourself and scared of a shaky financial future has to come straight from the heart. And it shows.
