I have had some very lovely people sharing my blog around recently, and I've been gaining a lot of votes over at the Top 25 European Moms (http://www.circleofmoms.com/top25/Top-25-European-Moms-2012) blog list. I've been really appreciative to those who have shared, but yesterday I was reading some comments on a facebook post, and I admit that I came across one that really stung.
It was the normal kind of post, the link was shared and there was a message asking for friends to vote. And then there was the following reply: "I've voted, but I couldn't bring myself to read it sorry xx"
I kept thinking "is my life really so horrible that people just don't even want to know what I go through each and every minute of the day? Is it so difficult to spare a few moments of your day to show a little empathy?" Perhaps I should have just been grateful for the vote, but I really don't see why she posted that comment at all. She could have just said "voted" like so many others, or not written anything at all. But instead a point was made that she couldn't read my story.
