Elizabeth Taylor's Iconic Collection At Auction

BlogHer Original Post
Wow. I mean, WOW. I just spent 15 minutes previewing the Highlights from The Elizabeth Taylor Collection at Christie's and it was completely worth it. From her amazing diamond and jewel collection to her iconic fashion pieces, to movie posters and photographs to her antiques and decorative arts, and WARHOL PAINTINGS... the list goes on and on and it's all going to be auctioned off at Christie's this December.

The video below is magical really, and instantly sucked me into the dream life Elizabeth Taylor led. She was such an amazing woman and it's kind of sad thinking about selling her belongings to the masses. But a portion of the profits from the sale of select publications, exhibition admissions and event sponsorships will be directed to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF). And just imagine being able to own a piece of anything that once belonged to the legend or that she wore, or even just admired.

Unfortunately I missed the LA Exhibition/Viewing at MOCA PDC which ended yesterday. But fortunately Christie's is selling a beautifully illustrated catalogue of each the sales so I can get a glimpse.
