Ellen Pack is Vice President/General Manager of Common Sense Media, the largest, independent nonprofit organization committed to helping kids thrive in a world of media and technology. She has more than 20 years’ experience launching and growing online products and services. In the early 1990’s, Ellen founded Women.com and grew it into the largest Internet destination for women. After a successful IPO, Women.com merged with iVillage (now owned by NBC). After Women.com, Ellen bought Town & Country Resources, a regional home staffing agency in the Bay Area, which she helped expand and then sold successfully five years later in 2008. She went on to lead Marketing at Elance, where she helped businesses grow by hiring online talent. Ellen holds a BA in Economics from Columbia College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
