I became aware of the Impostor Syndrome eight or nine years ago, when I was working for a failing start-up. Watching our staff whittle to half its size every few weeks was starting to take a toll on the remaining employees. I was grateful to still be working, but I wondered whether I should start looking into another job -- something more secure.
As has been true for the past few years, the football was more interesting than the commercials during this year's Super Bowl. Nevertheless, I, like many, sat down eager to watch both the game and the ads.

Win or lose, the Saints playing in the Super Bowl is like a healing, a laying on of hands for New Orleans, La. As I wrote on Twitter February 4, followed by hash tags #whodat and #Saints, "Super Bowl mania hangs in the air, palpable like Mardi Gras beads in trees, like August here, thick and hot, like a good rain."
I don't normally watch cross-country skiing, but I will be during the 2010 Olympics. I'll be cheering for my fellow Canadian Brian McKeever, the first athlete to compete at both the Winter Olympics and the Paralympics in the same year. You see, Brian McKeever is legally blind.
What foods come to mind when you think about Super Bowl party foods?
For a lot of football fans this Sunday is the holiest day of the year. That's right, Super Bowl Sunday. This year the Indianapolis Colts will be facing the New Orleans Saints in Miami, Florida.
I warned you back in May not to get me started on the Lingerie Football League. Yes, the Lingerie Football League. The LFL for short. The thing that makes Sarah's eyes bleed and steam shoot out of her ears.
Last night, the top American ladies took competitive ice for the last time before the Olympics. With only two spots available on this year's team and arguably at least six skaters who could place in the top ten in Vancouver, it was all about who would skate cleanly, perform her best and rack up the most points. And as always, the unpredictability kept the audience on their feet.

Focus on the Family
In a departure from previous Super Bowl broadcasts, CBS will run an ad from advocacy group Focus on the Family during the February 7 broadcast. Previously CBS and NBC have turned down an anti-abortion ad featuring President Obama's life story, as well as spots produced by PETA, MoveOn.org and The United Church of Christ.
Remember Sasha Cohen? She made the U.S. Olympic team in 2002 and finished fourth, just behind Michelle Kwan. In 2006, she was the Olympic favorite and she took home the silver medal. She hasn't competed since the 2006 World Championships and now she's back, looking like she never left competitive figure skating.
When Mark McGwire announced last week that he lied to the grand jury and he had used steroids while playing professional baseball my first thought was "This is news? Didn't we already know this?" I suppose the answer is no, some people actually believed McGwire when he swore he was clean.Although I can't imagine how that happened.
On Friday I went public. I made my picks for the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs. In fact, I vlogged my picks. I picked Green Bay, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Cincinnati. If you watched any of the games (or even looked at the scores this morning) you know that I was 1 for 4.That isn't very good. If I were a betting woman I would be a very poor betting woman. If I were a betting woman there would be loan sharks after me.
