Then, in the comments below, tell us how you raise healthy and happy kids for a chance to win.

Click to read 320 Sycamore. "This recipe is what we would call a six-er. Meaning, 6 out of the 7 of us love it. Anything above a fiver in this family is a major victory for me."

Click to read Pink Vanilla Cupcakes. "If you are like me (and I suspect you are!) you try hard to make sure your children are eating enough fruits and vegetables in their diet. I struggle with eating enough nutritious foods in my own diet and trying to make sure my girls eat fruits and vegetables is a top priority."

Click to read Taste like Crazy. "People have suggested I “sneak” veggies into sauces and substitute vegetables for meat but my kids are a suspicious bunch and they can smell a stealthy vegetable a mile away."

Click to read Buns in my Oven. "I won’t lie, I rarely cook a dinner that takes more than an hour or so of hands on time. My favorite meals are quick, healthy, and simple. I spend most of my time in the kitchen baking, so when it’s time for dinner I’d rather just get something yummy on the table and call it a day."

Click to read Swistle. "Which makes it pretty much the easiest recipe ever if you don't include ordering pizza"

Click to read Cookin' Canuck. "Over the years, I have come up with a few tricks to help us avoid the fast food trap. It is our hope that, through healthy food and plenty of family time, we can raise confident, healthy, and happy children."

Click to read Bentolunch-What's for Lunch at our House. "We actually are pretty much exclusive users of the Ragu Traditional Pasta sauce. I don't make my own sauce, that's much more work than I like to do in the kitchen and we've always loved the flavor."

Click to read Picky Palate. "The dinner was a huge success and it literally took minutes to prepare.  I love pulling out quick and simple recipes during the busy school week and that is exactly what Ragu helps us with."

Click to read BooMama. "After I became a mama, however, I started looking for shortcuts in the kitchen. Making my own spaghetti sauce wasn’t really high on the list anymore, and I’ll never forget the first time I made a spinach and spaghetti casserole with the sauce from a jar. IT WAS A REVELATION. It was simple and delicious and fast, and if you’ve ever tried to cook a meal while keeping one eye on a toddler, you know that fast cooking can be your friend. I was hooked."

Click to read Owlhaven. "I’m always jealous of the thick rich consistency of store bought sauce.  I’d have to cook my sauce down for hours—or add a fair bit of tomato paste–  to get it that thick."

Lots of fresh food, lots of sleep and lots of outdoor exercise make my kids healthy and happy.

Make exercise a priority for the entire family. Go on walks together or participate in sports.

We eat more all natural foods and make sure that the meal revolves around fruits and vegetables!

First of all, I give them a loving, supportive environment at home. Then I try to provide them with the other things they need.

My kids are healthy because we don't make food an issue. I serve healthy meals, and leave the healthy snacks on the counter or in the front of the fridge so that's what will catch their eyes. But there are chips in the cabinets if they want them (guess what - it's easier to eat the other stuff so they don't eat the chips - but don't feel deprived either, because they COULD have them if they wanted them).

My kids are happy because we have always fostered their self-esteem, and we spend lots of quality time with them - not just so we can say we did it - it just comes naturally. And we do a lot of volunteer work so they can see how good it feels to help other people.

Lead by example. We have healthy meals but have treats at different times also. It's all about balance.

My mate and I are good role models for our children when it comes to eating. A good way to get fruits and proteins into the kids is making smoothies for breakfast every morning. Also I find when the kids help prepare the meal they are often more apt to eat it!

We really try to do what we believe is the right thing in all situations. If that means we've got to wait to come up with an answer, then so be it. Doesn't always make it easy, but at least we believe it's the right thing.

We lead by example. We eat healthy meals about 80% of the time, but are not so strict that we don't allow an occaisional indulgence.

We play sports with our children, and limit the amount of time on the computer and in front of the tv.

We are a big spaghetti and meatball household. I'm not a great cook so I will admit, I enjoyed the Ragu.com site for some ideas and tips on changing the routine and am going to try out the chicken and ragu bake this week!

We never force our kids to eat. Sometimes kids just don't want to eat, even though they love the meal. We never make them sit there and eat until their plate is clean. This keeps them happy, and us sane! But they also don't get another option. dinner is dinner, and that's it. They can choose to eat, or not, but I'm not making a special meal for them!

Let me say the number 1 tip is giving unconditional love and a positive attitude. Eating healthy and tending to other aspects of life is very important, but not so important as knowing they are loved and can always be secure in that fact.

The little ones love to have a buffet meal once a month. I have plates of veggies and dips for them to use dig with their hands. There are cheese and other healthy foods to pick from. Walking around the table and picking their favorite veggies and dips, lets them feel in charge and even daring!!

We encourage our kids to eat their vegetables (even when they don't want to;o), get plenty of sleep and exercise, and limit sugary drinks. Another thing that's very important to us is sitting together as a family for dinner every night.

There was never a problem with getting my children to eat any food, fruit, or vegetable. My granddaughter is a different story. She has problems with certain textures, if you can puree it till there is no texture left she will eat it, if not forget it. It seems she has almost no problems with vegetables, it is the fruits that she refers to as gag a maggot... Like many things in life, you find ways to work around it and keep her diet healthy.

I just had my baby, so I really have not had the chance to do this with him, but with my furry-baby;
My husband and I have a veggie garden, seldom buy snack-type food and rarely eat out, and when we do, we go for wholesome, quality meals. So when its time to "reward" Piper, our beagle mix, we do by giving her the GOOD stuff, aka apples, tomatoes, rice, chicken, etc. When it's time for Jonathan (our son) to start eating, he will learn that wholesome food is as rewarding if not more, than snacks and greasy fast food.
