For everyone who has ever gotten their a** dumped
by kaiteykat

Yup. Sometimes it happens. Getting dumped. It usually sucks.
Sometimes it’s not so bad. Sometimes you want it to happen. Sometimes
you dump, sometimes you get dumped. If you haven’t gotten dumped, well
it’s due time. Everyone should know that crap ass feeling at least once
in their lives to grow up and be a decent human being and all.

Enough of the sermon, the actual reason I’m posting this is that I
heard a great radio show on NPR the other day about breakups. You
should listen to it. Phil Collins is interviewed in it. I don’t even
like Phil Collins. Now, I appreciate his masterful drumming skills, but
man, he has come out with some cheesy cheesy crap over the years. But
at the end of the show I actually felt really really bad for Phil
Collins. He sounded pretty sad. I felt really bad for Starlee Kine as
well, the lovely lady who interviewed Phil Collins and wrote her very
own break up song.

All I gotta say to Starlee is, damn, I’m sorry. Those Canadians are
sneaky little hags about stealing boyfriends. On behalf of my country,
I apologize.

I digress. Just go listen to it here.

p.s. If you’re just too cool for radio shows about breakups, well, then I suggest you listen to this one about the American housing crisis. It’s also fantastic.

p.p.s If they say “It’s not you it’s me,” they’re lying. It’s most definitely you. Just for future reference.

Starlee rocks

I also heard that installment of "This American Life" and loved every second of it. I will never, ever mock Phil Collins again. And if I got the chance to compose a bitter breakup song to play for him I'd be all over it.

And we definitely have the same taste in nerdy radio - the one about the housing/credit crisis was perfect. I actually UNDERSTAND what the heck is going on because of it. Not that that is a good thing. Ugh.

Thanks for sharing the good radio that's out there with more people. I feel much less dorky!
