I'm not sure how much you know about pumpkins but I think everyone should know just a few pieces of useless information. I can't think of a better topic than pumpkins, can you?

If you're really getting into this Month of Pumpkins thing and would like to come to Illinois and visit the pumpkin capital, I'll go with you. It's not all that far from my home. I know this because I have read every word on this Pumpkin Patch page.

I found this site that suggested you play a pumpkin trivia game at fall baby showers. I'm not a fan of baby showers so maybe I'm missing the point?

On the Libby's pumpkin page, apparently size matters and they're happy to tell you that the largest pumpkin (so far) was grown in 1999... how much do you think it weighed? And how do you actually move a pumpkin that big?

An orange Ranchero carries a giant pumpkin arrives at the 34th Annual Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off October 8, 2007 in Half Moon Bay, California. Thad Starr of Pleasant Hill, Oregon took the top honor at tihis years pumpkin weigh-off with his pumpkin coming in at 1524 pounds, earning his $6 per pound in prize money for a total of $9144. Now run off and take this little Pumpkin Quiz and come back and tell me what your score was. I won't embarrass you with mine, not everyone can be as knowledgeable as I am.

Anytime you ace a test you should be proud but when you ace a pumpkin test you should be especially proud. Not everyone knows a lot about pumpkins.

Last year i had a an errant pumpkin seed start growing in my back paddock. i was sooo excited that i blocked that whole area off waiting for my pumpkins. :)

sadly it was only the maie flowering and not the female. Or vice versa. I remember going to that site you linked. And learning about how its Bumble bees that only polinate from male to female flowers. I had everything but the female flower. GMO's at work for you, i bet. Thanks for the link again. Great Site.
