Faking Picture Perfect
By Meredith E. on January 28, 2013
I am a born and raised Texan now living in Utah with my shorts wearing husband (even when it’s snowing) and my 3 beautiful kids who are the reason I started blogging in the first place. I have a degree in Psychology which basically serves me now to psycho analyze myself and maybe others. Although, I won’t admit to that. I have grown to love the snow, and love looking at the mountains everyday as I drive my kids around. I try to love hiking them, and doing outdoorsy things so that my husband will stay married to me. But, skiing is out of the question.
I started writing for families.com a couple of years ago, and love it. Over the years, I have started several blogs at once, which I have now combined here. Because they are all a little part of me. I like to experiment with vegetarian cooking, and I secretly wish I was a professional scrapbooker. But, who has the time? So now, all of my passions are melted into this one blog that I hope will attract someone to read it other than my handful of friends that take a peek now and then.
I am always the people pleaser, and thus the name, Faking Picture Perfect. I want to have the perfect little family, but I’ve realized in the 10 years that I’ve been married, that perfection and motherhood are two words that do NOT belong together. Instead, my house is mostly messy and unorganized. My kids do fight and argue. I yell sometimes. I don’t always mop my floors when something is dropped, and I might just get on FB when laundry is piling up all around me. But, if you ever come to my house, please call first, so I can at least fake it. I know you don’t care, but it makes ME feel better.
