Woah, summer went by so quickly. Sometimes, I feel as if it was never here. Well let's welcome fall and watch nature's color change and of course, our outfits. With that said, I wanted to share some tips from certified image consultant and owner of Damstyle in NYC, David A. McKnight.

He has been nice enough to share his fall trend report with us:

  • This fall is all about unleashing the animal in you.  Don't hold back from incorporating bold, exotic animal prints into your wardrobe.  From leopard to zebra to any other creature originating from the jungles of Africa, designers everywhere are turning these once feared and dreaded patterns into classic staples of the sophisticated fall wardrobe.  If you're not quite ready for the tiger striped dress, start the progression slowly be introducing an animal print clutch.  Whatever you do, stay away from animal print colored finger nails by all accounts.

  • Known for their easy-to-match abilities and versatility, warm neutrals bring an imperturbable sensation to the changing season. Having made significant splashes in last year’s trend forecast, camel and softer neutral tones for that matter, look like they’re here to stay this fall and the coming winter season. This ultimately necessitates a graduation from the predictable.  For a romantic autumn evening in the city, match a camel shirt with a fitted cashmere sweater and chiffon scarf. Amplify the texture with ankle length suede boots.  For subtler touches, sport camel in bags or belts. A great tan bag with strong accents of rich chocolate leather could be all you need for that touch of contemporary heritage this season.
  • This season metallics are the way to go for turning any outfit from drab to fab.  Bolding embracing a metallic skirt or vest will exude confidence, strength, and personality unparalleled to any color this season.  Have fun with it, but be sure to incorporate wisely to avoid looking like a walking sheet of tin foil.

These are great tips for fall. To get a more in-depth analysis from him, visit his web site at www.damstyle.com.
