I have found that guys from older cultures are often more comfortable being stylish/metro than many American and Canadian men, even those who are children of old world immigrants. Japanese guys, I think, are the most at ease about being metrosexual. In fact, I think Japanese men INVENTED the metrosexual lifestyle!
Anyway, I was on the subway last week and saw an Asian guy with get this, a GUCCI BAG (I'm pretty sure it's this one). Now, I've never really seen men, regardless of race, with a Gucci laptop bag/briefcase before. That is, a Gucci bag of his own. It's funny. I've never seen non-Asian men with bags like this before...there's an Asian guy that I see a lot in my neighbourhood who has a Louis Vuitton manbag/gymbag (rather than a Lululemon that many Torontonians, especially women, regardless of ethnicity (though usually white) have). Statistics collectors seem to recognize this because the two major (east) Asian clusters in the Environics Analytics website are:

If you are of Asian descent, married and/or dating Asians or have lots of Asian friends, would you agree with this? What is your experience? Did you have mothers who criticized the brands you were interested in?
