I lived in high heels through all my corporate years but since I've left I've really enjoyed living in normal shoes. My back doesn't ache anymore, my feet don't feel like they are about to fall off at the end of a long day.

Now I see these sky high shoes in all the shops and wonder how long people will make money out of them.

So I've been able to do is search around for quality shoe shops that have a range of shoes styles for different occassions - they get my money - and I really enjoy the compliments I get for my shoes.

Anyway, I think the sky high shoes are simply silly and stupid, bad for backs and feet so I don't need to have them in my life.

Maybe I'm silly as I know you are correct they are bad for me but I love, love, love heels. I can even run in them.

Of course I don't wear them all the time, I wear my fair share of ballet flats (also likely bad for me - no support) but I feel great walking around in my high heels! It's pretty subjective as to whether they look rididulous or not.

Not a fan of sky high heels myself. They're impractical, bad for your body, and they look ridiculous!

While sky high heels are a no, I would, however, say yes to kitten heels. Much more practical, not harmful for you, and honestly, much more attractive.

I used to think heels were sexy, if impractical. Then I learned how much damage high heels does to women's backs and legs, and now I just look at them sadly.
